Created by hardcore cricket fans, Cricket Club puts you right in the action. Feel what it's like to play cricket from the comfort of your own home with this virtual reality game.
Attention to Detail
Cricket Club proudly announces that it was made by cricket fans, and it shows. You take on the role of a cricketer in a game of table cricket, although the graphics are so beautifully rendered that the only give away that you're supposed to be in a board game is the other players. And even they look great. The sound is immersive, the ball physics are realistic, and the game does a great job at giving you feedback to the point where it's easy to forget you're in a virtual reality environment. You can play a club or test match level for varied difficulty, though the fielders seem to be able to make impossible catches regardless of the level you play at. There are online leader boards and a clever bat "hot spot" feature for more accurate feedback when striking the ball.
Looks Great, Price to Match
It's clear from the price that the developers see this game as more than a small VR tech demo, and they're right to feel that way. You will also need a lot of space and something bat-sized to strap your controller to, however.
